First time students to The Math Clinic Tutoring Service receive $20 off for an Introductory Tutoring Session. The intent of the introductory session is to give the student an opportunity to establish a comfort level with the teacher. A student must have confidence in the teacher’s ability to understand their perspective and learning style. Students have an innate ability to immediately assess the capabilities of a teacher from their own unique learning perspective. The student's comfort level is so important and absolutely essential for a longer term collaboration between the teacher and the student. If the student is not comfortable with the teacher, the tutoring relationship simply will not be productive.
